A Year of BrikWars

In the hopes of facilitating more actual BrikWar gaming events, several of the core BrikWar players came up with the concept of A Year of BrikWars.

The idea is to schedule a game every other month for a total of six in a year. Like the monthly NELUG meetings, individuals would be volunteer to be responsible for the game, it's concept, location, and the other various details.

This schedule is not meant to be written in stone; alterations, fudging and reassignments are a way of life. And there can certainly be *more* games (I think Sullivan is bound by law to at least attempt to show up for any and all games).

As Joe likes to say: If you plan it, they will come.

Brikwars TL2 Game June 30, 2001

Once again we all had a fantastic time. This was our first attempt at having preset teams with preset goals.

First we had Team A who's goal was to keep the princes they had captured as part of the lead-in story line to the game. Their position was more defensive. Their champion was a Shuriken chuckin', Golden Masked she warrior that was downright deadly to archers and not much better to standard troops.

Second we had Team B who's goal was to rescue the princes. They had a numerical advantage and were on the offense throughout. Their small Ninja faction was a surprise to Team A.

During the course of battle both teams champions bought the big dirt nap in a desperate move by Team A to get Team B's champion off of their fort. Team A's champion built up as much speed as possible to push Team B's Champion over the edge of a cliff but in so doing their Champion also went over the edge in a last bit of glory.

Brikwars Game April 01, 2000

The 04/01/00 NELUG Brikwars game. Because we had new players setup took quite some time and we only got a couple hours of playing in but a fun time was had by all and we are already discussing when and where we can have another game.

A special thanks goes out to the Charles River Museum of Industry for letting us host this event. They were incredible hosts and we would love to be able to host more events at the Museum.
