Amherst 2024
On Saturday 27 & Sunday 28 January, NELUG, in collaboration with GNELTC (Greater New England LEGO Train Club), will again display one of its amazing Lego train/city layouts at the Amherst Railway Society Railroad Hobby Show at The Big E Fairground in Springfield, MA. The Railroad Hobby Show is the largest railroad-themed trade show in America. The event occupies 350,000 square feet in four buildings on the Eastern States Exposition fairgrounds.
This is NELUG's biggest model train show and the latest novel layout designed by our members - this year will be the LARGEST layout ever - 80 feet X 30 feet; about 15 - 20 members will be contributing in some capacity or other! It'll have multiple tracks, working trains (different trains will run at different times), and detailed town / countryside areas with much landscaping in view. We will, as always, be at the rear of the Mallary Complex, in the second half of the building along the main corridor at location 164.
The show attracts over 20,000 people over the weekend, and is always a great hit. See you at this great show!
